#BGGC

Black Girls Gardening In Containers (BGGC) was founded by Jaye L. Smith in 2020 as a community for Black women with a common love and passion for container gardening.

Container gardens are edible or non-edible plants in pots, raised beds, buckets, boxes, bags, or any other container.

Not everyone has tons of space to plant gardens, so container gardens are becoming increasingly popular among urban gardening enthusiasts.

Black Girls Gardening in Containers aims to motivate and inspire Black women by providing resources to guide them through the gardening journey.

Our community is a welcoming haven where Black women can feel seen and supported, reconnect mindfully to the earth and tap into positive nurturing instincts.

Join us, contribute and let's get growing!
